(1) Vendor needs to provide alumni relations customer relationship management solution that addresses needs across higher ed while focusing on our alumni and advancement areas. The solution should support streamline processes, target marketing campaigns, track results, and enrich the alumni lifecycle management process.
1. Email Marketing    
o Easy, dynamic email creation
o Ability to set date and time of deployment
o Ability to set frequency of deployment or one-time deployment
o Ability to segment and personalize for targeted messages through data management
o Personalized and automated thank you emails after transactions
o Ability to reuse design templates or create new ones
o Email preview for reviewing purposes
o Tracking and reporting tools that allow us to analyze user data by individuals or groups
o Bounce reports including home mailing addresses that allow us to mail a contact info update request to those on the list
o Ability to understand why an email address is bad.
o Opt in and out of email messages. Communication across departments and an expanded list of exactly what people want to unsubscribe from.
o Vendor ADA compliance aligns with USI’s ADA compliance goal
o Ability to add customized branding to appeals (use communication and marketing channels that are uniquely USI branded)
o Automated email reminders before and after non-gift activation
2. Customizable forms
o To accept scholarship applications, speech competition submissions, alumni and volunteer awards, photos.
o Forms on website to generate thank-you’s for student scholarship recipients to send to donors
o Ability to brand and look and feel like other university forms

- Ability to facilitate virtual mentoring program
5. Event Management    
o Customizable registrations for various events that allow us to plan many different types of events, and different types of activities within events
o Reports for tracking attendance, commerce, contact information
o Ways to add a note to alumni record for each contact touch they receive, so we can clearly know how much content alumni are receiving   
6. Commerce    
o Ability to receive gifts, memberships and event payments online; ability to receive payments for various activities within one event
o Ability to receive reoccurring, auto and instalment membership payments
o Allows multiple fee types and add-ons
o Campus crowdfunding platforms
o Touchnet integration
7. Data Management
o Extensive tracking and reporting tools that provide metrics and insights into engagement history
o Tool for website analytics (when, where, what, how people are getting onto the pages)
o Getting updated data out of the system easily to make updates to Banner and perform manual processes (i.e., completion of name change form).  
o Campaign tracking and in-time giving reports for online day of giving or specialized campaigns (to be used for one-time fundraising activities, i.e. CMST scholarship)
o Alumni data online like the USI Fact Book

- Users have option to share event to social media, users have option to add event to calendar (alumni can share things easily, particularly after they make a gift, and track their engagement on USI social media pages)

o Coordinated system of updating alumni emails, and contact information in general
o On-line alumni directory to search
11. Ability to post jobs
- Administrators and users (ultimately approved by administrator)
12. Alumni geography maps (real time info)
- Allows university representatives to contact alumni when traveling to their geo area.
13. Interdepartmental communication  
- Integrated and coordinated approaches to communication with alumni (increased coordination between departments).  Including a interdepartmental calendar.  
14. Texting
- Text to give capabilities
