[B] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide commercial off-the-shelf immunization information system for data integrity, high-availability, security remediation as well as leverage the District’s current infrastructure.
- Streamline and standardize reporting of patient shot records to meet, at a minimum, District and federal reporting requirements
- Allow providers convenient access to comprehensive and timely information on immunization management
- Establish routine reporting to providers on status of immunization rates within provider practices and clinics
- automatically identify individuals who are due/past due for immunization(s) to enable the production of reminder/recall notifications by each provider for its patients from within the IIS itself or interoperable systems
- automatic response in accordance with interoperability standards endorsed by the CDC for message content/format and transport when the IIS receives queries from other health information systems
- working vaccine inventory function to direct data entry users and can interoperate with IIS or other inventory systems
- validate and invalidate all doses
- track eligibility at the dose level for all doses administered
- data and/or produce management reports for VFC and other public vaccine programs
- regularly evaluate incoming and existing patient records to identify, prevent, and resolve duplicate and fragmented records
- allow forms to be populated with existing data from the IIS.
- record and make available all submitted vaccinations and/or demographic information.
- access controls and logging, including distinct credentials for each user, least-privilege access, and routine maintenance of access privileges
- able to facilitate reporting and/or investigation of adverse events following immunization.
- able to implement a documented Backup and Restore schedule, and Disaster Recovery schedule according to the overall requirements of the District
- encrypt sensitive data stored in the application and in the database according to industry best practices.
