Vendor needs to provide visibility and insight into public cloud spend to monitor, analyze and optimize cloud costs.
1. Must be capable of data ingestion by connecting to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud usage data.
2. Must be able to fully integrate with Apptio platform for complete IT Financial Management functions.
3. Must provide unified Multi-Cloud view data across public cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in a single report or dashboard.
4. Must have anomaly detection to proactively detect unusual usage patterns and sends alerts and/or notifications via email.
5. Must be able to provide recommendations for rightsizing public cloud resources to save on cloud cost. This is to reduce waste by terminating unused resources or reducing resources based on historical usage.
6. Must have support for Kubernetes to automatically map cloud resources belonging to each cluster and ties to billing data for accurate cost reporting.
7. Must be able to set customer cloud spend limit/budget and forecasting/tracking of cloud spend to send alerts and/or notifications via email when approaching set customizable threshold limit.
8. Must be able to allocate cloud spend associated with each customer for billing by using tags to identify customer cloud usage
