[B] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide personal emergency response system and medication dispenser services include but are not limited to the alert and notification of designated individuals of high-risk events such as a fall or medical emergency.
- Personal Emergency Response Systems are limited to those individuals who have one or more:
1. Live alone,
2. Are alone for significant parts of the day,
3. Have no regular caretaker for extended periods of time,
4. Would otherwise require extensive routine supervision,
5. Limited or absent formal or informal support systems,
6. Documented history of falls
- Personal Emergency Response System
1. Two-way voice communication;
2. Inactivity timers or equivalent functionality (approved by AREA AGENCY);
3. Base unit;
4. Rechargeable battery;
5. Anti-failure protection features;
- The monthly fee for Personal Emergency Response System service
1. Installation, repair or replacement and removal of equipment;
2. Rental of the equipment;
3. Training of the participant and/or their caregiver/representative;
4. 24-hour staffing by trained operators of the emergency response center 365 days a year;
5. Included as part of the monthly PERS charged, the provider shall, either directly or through subcontractor, provide for ongoing provision of on-line emergency response center services for each individual authorized.
