[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide automatic identification system
- Satellite AIS data transmitted by at-sea fishing vessels equipped with Class A or Class B transmitters from unique (identity/MMSI) commercial fishing vessels in areas of concern – including within 50 nautical miles distance
- The position data should include the associated vessel name, date and time of transmission, vessel position (latitude/longitude), and any other data items (e.g., flag State, destination port, etc.) transmitted by the vessels in AIS.
- Positions of vessels at sea are (by far) the highest priority / value to PID
- This data must include each vessel’s current / most-recently-reported position
- Service must include access to not-less-than 90 days of historical vessel position / track data at
- In addition to any “native” or proprietary interface / display / service, this data must be available to our fisheries enforcement technicians in a format that allows it to be exported / utilized in Google Earth (.kml format) or via some other means that allows the same “contextual” result (capacity to efficiently / effectively analyze and compare commercial fishing vessels’ AIS activity against compatible VMS position data and fixed-polygon area boundaries).
- The GIS interface must allow for searching for individual vessels by name, IMO, call sign or other standard identifying vessel information.
- The GIS interface must be capable of displaying the track (current and past positions) in a user-friendly format, in relation to EEZ, (and optimally other and/or user-generated) boundaries in the region.
